There are also three options on how to embed Youtube video HTML code into WordPress.
The first option is to simply tick the box next to where it says “use old embed code” when getting the Youtube video HTML code from Youtube. This means the Iframe code will be converted into the old type code that you can easily insert into the HTML section of your WordPress website. Therefore when you are writing a post, simply click on the HTML tab to embed the video code.
The second option to embed Youtube video HTML into WordPress is to download a plug-in that will allow you to insert Youtube videos easily. I have “Iframe embed for Youtube” plugin. This means I only have to press a button and add the Youtube URL into the box provided and the video will be added into my WordPress post.
The third way changed the need for any previous ways to be used. When WordPress updated in mid 2013 it allowed us to directly embed a youtube video by simply pasting a link into your post on a line by itself, and not making it a clickable link. It had to to text only to work.
You can also use the shortcode as well.
