Windows 7 operating system comes with several in-built Administrative tools for managing hard drive partitions, adjusting firewall settings, managing schedules tasks, starting and stopping system services and so on. The default way to access these tools is through a link present in the “System and Security” section of the Control Panel. Another way to access them is by typing the name of the administrative tool or “Administrative Tools” directly into the Start Menu.
The administrative tools sections includes computer management, task scheduler, system configuration, and more..
If you use these tools often, you will actually find it easier to add a link to these tools through the “All Programs” menu in the Start Menu.
How to add Administrative Tools to Start Menu:
1. First, Right-click on an empty area on the taskbar of the Windows 7 and select “Properties”.
2. The “Taskbar and Start Menu Properties” dialog box will appear with multiple tabs where in select the “Start Menu” tab.3. Now click on the “Customize” button.
4. A dialog box naming “Customize Start Menu” will appear. You will have to scroll down to the “System administrative tools” and select from the defined radio buttons:
* Display on the All Programs menu
* Display on the All Programs menu and the Start menu
* Don’t display this item (default)5. After selecting any one click “OK” to close the dialog box.
Show Administrative Tools in the start menu in Windows Vista:

When you are finished, go to your start menu to see the results. I chose to see the administrative tools in both the start menu and the all programs section. See the screenshot below.
Adding administrative tools is not difficult, just that you need to follow these simple instructions.

I can’t find it in my control panel. And I don’t know what to search for in my start menu because it’s in Dutch.
Is it still in the same place for windows seven now?

I’m still trying to understand all the important tools and I should say that so far I’ve extracted a lot of important information on windows 7 from your posts. Its easy to understand your posts, Mitz. Appreciate your effort to make things more easier for non techies as well. I’ve already added the Administrative Tools but I’ve most probably forgotten the process by now
