Google search knows more than enough about you. Yes this is true and each time you type your query into Google search, they know what you expect to see. for example you might be searching for a plumber. Google will try and give you results for Plumbers that are located near you. After all, you most probably need a house call in this situation, and this is where the tailored search results are very helpful.
Not everyone wants to receive search results tailored to their location and preferences. For example a person researching the rankings of his or her website does not want to see altered results. The best results to see are the ones that other people see, not you. The other people are your website visitors, not you.
Search in Google Anonymously – Video
In the video below I show how to search in Google anonymously so you can see the true results, and not just the ones tailored to your needs.
Being able to search in Google anonymously is very important for people who build websites like me.
Use Faceless.me VPN service to protect your privacy.
I think that its good for a common people but bad for webmasters because this way they will not see the keyword for which visitors come to their site.
I always do as Marty did…this is a nice save! Thanks!

Hey Mitz,
This is a very useful tip you’ve shared with us. I normally log out and clear all cookies before I search Google for my website rankings. But yes, sometimes the results can still be altered. Your idea is very simple and works well. Thanks for this.
Cheers 🙂
Nice tip Blake! Thanks for adding! 🙂
Hi Mitz, I have been using an anonymous proxy and VPN for some time. It is best to use one anyway whenever you are in a coffee shop or any open wifi system. While not fool proof it does provide protection against people using snooping programs.
But, you do still have to logout of your google account when using it. But what you have described is very cool and saves some time and effort. Thanks for that.
Yes great idea David. Using a proxy can be handy. 🙂
This is very useful, Mitz. You learn something new every day and this is my ‘something new’ today.
Thank you.
