You are awesome! Thanks. Have been concerned about this for a while and wasn't able to get a clear answer before this. Thanks again.August 18, 2011 at 3:01 am in reply to: 301 Redirect from one page to another on same site? #33380
Thanks for the response.Point taken on the redirect. As far as internal links: Anchored and pointing to the /song/ page right? Well, as far as monetizing...yes, Amazon. But, it's not fair to say monetizing since we haven't made penny one from itAugust 17, 2011 at 1:23 am in reply to: 301 Redirect from one page to another on same site? #33378
Sorry, it wasn't a secret. I wasn't sure if it was permitted. The page that I built the most links to is http://www.todayhaspower.com/song/It was ranked first page for a couple of things but not the big key word (motivational songs).I was up to 19 for that keyword. The other page is http://www.todayhaspower.com/motivational-songs/ and was ranked at 232 for the keyword motivational songs.I seo'd the /song/ page (2 days ago) since it was performing well and wanted to give it a nudge, but now Google switched them on me, except they dropped the first one into the 280's and only raised the other to the 45th spot! Now, I'm thinking I should redirect the /song/ page to the /motivational-songs/ page or else it might fall out altogether. One other item is that the /song/ page was ranked number 4-6 for 2011 motivational songs purely by accident. Not sure if I will lose this ranking if I redirect. The /song/ page is the best source of organic traffic that I get (50 visitors a day).
Point taken. That site is where we want to go.Thanks for pointing that out.I especially like the idea of offering guest post reviews. Get your work done for the price of a link. Love it.
Hi Mitz,We are using Amazon currently which is one of the ways I found you. We have made a total of $5.38 in about 6 months. We have a site geared around instruments. It is mainly piano and lessons but we have just about every instrument Amazon carries. Each has it's own page. We have a few reviews. We aren't getting any traffic. Although after reading your post on optimization, we are going to take some of the review pages and optimize them. Tough percentages to work with starting at 4% commission which is why traffic is key.
Thanks for the resource. We are going to go through our site a page at a time and watch the magic happen.
Hey Guys,I'm Rob Adelphia. Happily married Father of two awesome kiddies. I have a motivational blog that I use to prod and encourage others. I am far from being tech savvy and am looking to learn all I can so that I can be in the small percentage of folks who 'made it' on line. I will be asking many questions and if there is any way I can be of assistance, please let me know. To our success ;D
