OK here's what happening. I put both drives in. First one set to master and second to slave.
I actually have 7 installed on 1 and xp on the other. I even tried putting a os disc in then turning it on and trying to get it to recognize the dd drive and boot that way. No good.

Drover, That sounds so easy but is way over my head. But thank you. mitz, the copy I have is a Beta that was on the netbook when I got it. I would love to keep it over XP but how can I activate it with it being legit?
I finally got around to installing the other drive today and when I start windows it doesn't do anything. Just starts as normal and the drive shows up as my H” drive. Not sure that is the drive I installed. It may be showing a partition from my primary c drive. Gotta keep messing with it.
