What is 'Action Replay Code Manager', please?(It may have come pre-loaded on my VAIO computer, but I don't know what it is - or if it's safe to delete from one's computer.Thanks.January 22, 2009 at 9:03 am #30978
Action Replay is software for downloading cheat codes for Nintendo DS games from the internet. The Action Replay Code Manager allows you to add and remove codes from the codelist stored on the Action Replay DS cartridge. You use the software to keep track of sources for Action Replay DS codes and then download them directly to the cartridge via USB.I am assuming you or one of your kids uses a Nintendo DS? If no-one is, then you should be fine to uninstall it.Hope this helps 🙂

Cheat codes!!January 23, 2009 at 9:44 am #30980
Its actually pretty common, and many people use 'cheats' to access the next level if they cant get there alone, or even to add extra facets to the games that they cant reach without the hidden codes. Its all part of the gaming culture, and nothing to be concerned about in my opinion. It just means your kid is particularly keen, thats all. It doesnt imply that your kid is some kind of lowlife cheat.. its just a further facet to the games rather than cheating. I wouldnt worry too much about it personally !

Thank you ever so much for explaining so perfectly what it is and what it's used for, Dak – really, really appreciate it!I'll simply leave the program alone as the child has so much fun with the Nintendo DS -
