Loved the soft muted colours that were originally heading up the forum topics but the new ones are so much easier to read – thanks so much!December 3, 2008 at 10:25 pm #30386
Thanks mara, I am working on it but it still looks ugly, but easy to read though LOL.. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to here them..December 4, 2008 at 5:27 am #30387
I know zip about computer sites and creating them, unfortunately … but rather than the bright royal blue, is it possible to use a deeper version of the dusty steel-blue?December 4, 2008 at 5:44 am #30388
Can you show me something like what you mean??? There is no problem changing it.. we can try anything…December 4, 2008 at 6:11 am #30389
IMO,Blue is an excellent choice for the text.If you asked 20 different people, you would probably get 20 different opinions.Just a matter of trialling, till a happy medium, is reached.Changes we can all live with.Just at the moment, the blue stands out more than normal,as I feel it clashes with Blue/Green Border.I think all will look much better, when the border colour is changed, to blend in with the blue. The changes, you have made so far,Mitz, are great. Thanks for listening to the Members.December 4, 2008 at 9:01 pm #30390
Wonder if this is the type of colour codes that work for computer sites?December 4, 2008 at 10:13 pm #30391
It is just a crime to give us that many choices.. and there are more too… You can look up pastel colors, bright colors, matt colors,,,,AAAHHHHHH Mara what do you think about the blue I have now in the background... Bear in mind I cannot change everything yet without crashing the whole board.... I thought it brightened the place up a bit....You can PM me if you hate it...I just like to get everyones opinion, then weigh it up... The majority rules here...December 5, 2008 at 5:08 pm #30392
Laughing – gentle smile – because this is a time when majority perhaps should not rule? – I say this because it's your site, Mitz and I think you were on to something with your first colour scheme, although it had the wee glitch of the actual words being hard to see.The blue scheme is always a good one, simply because it's apparently the favourite colour of most people and it's calming on the eye and mind - and the original shades of blue you had were lovely - the only problem seemed to be the text was a bit difficult to read. This is only a suggestion but if one used the softer original blues and cream and then for the text perhaps a deeper tone of the same shade of blue - such as #44708D - all the shades would coordinate and still be easy to read.Gosh, it must be a mini-nightmare every time something is change the the whole board crashes - really do wish I know something about this stuff so I could help, Mitz.December 5, 2008 at 10:11 pm #30393
I tried your color code but it wouldn't even give me a preview… I will see if I can get something similar to check it out..Yep it works.. you must be on the same wave length as me..this is close to what I had... I think this is great...Thanks Mara for finding that..This is more computer tech colors... The gray that was there was depressing...December 5, 2008 at 10:30 pm #30394
You're so welcome but I'm sure you or one of the other members would have found it, as well – gentle smile.
