All the free email servers are only free if you collect the emails from a web based account. However now Gmail has enabled IMAP for free. Its a bit like a POP server but more advanced and can sinc with more devices, even mobile phones. This is great news for those of us who despise going to the internet to recieve emails. All you have to do is signup for a gmail email and enable the IMAP in the settings. Then follow their instructions to add your gmail account to your Outlook Express or Windows Mail program on your computer. If you want to do this through yahoo or hotmail you have to upgrade and start paying for the service.February 21, 2009 at 12:04 am #31245
Hi guysI have made a full written tutorial on how to setup gmail email in Outlook or Windows Mail. There is a screenshot for every step. I did this while actually setting up gmail on Outlook Express on my computer. It works great!!!! I can't believe I can have a free email delivered to my door. (well my computer) LOL.Setup Gmail email in Outlook or Windows MailIf you email address gets eaten up by spam then you can change it.. My emails addresses attract spam because they are out there, all over the internet. Does anyone here use Gmail?I know it lacks features in other areas but having free IMAP services kills the competition.
