The network connection icon no longer appears in my notification area. I had to do a system restore to fix a different problem yesterday and I think that may have been the cause since I only noticed it since doing that. I am running Vista and followed the instructions in this article: http://www.tips4pc.com/Articles/Networking%20tips/how_to_show_your_network_connect.htmHowever, when I get to the Notification Area tab as in the screenshot at the end of that article, the "Network" checkbox is grayed out so that I cannot click on it. (It looks like the grayed out "Power" checkbox in the same screenshot in the article).Any suggestions about how to get the network box to be clickable? Thanks!
