To be honest, i prefer tablet over laptop. I mean, with tablet, i can surf the web at the palm of my hand, while laptop requires me to always sit on the chair while starring at the monitor for long long hours. And that's so exhausting i guess. However, if you're type of person who love being productive or creative, then you should pick up tablet that has the support for stylus of course, like Note 8 or Surface.
I like the tablets but I find it hard to work with when building websites.. I had to get a mini Bluetooth keyboard for my ipad but it annoyed me!
I kind of agree with you dude. I think tablet hasn't reached the productivity that is provided by laptops or PC. Maybe in the next few years, it could change. Besides, tablets are still targeting netbook sales instead of PC or laptop.
If you have to do fair bit of traveling everyday then having a tablet would certainly be the best option for you but I don't have to travel a lot and I would prefer to have a laptop because I really feel comfortable working on my laptop.
