Hi guys Its tax time again for me and I have been using excel to do my books.. Actually I use it for everthing. Here are a few quick tips I use for excel..Press CTRL + Y to repeat our last action...So if you just inserted a row and need a few more press CTRL + Y to add as many as you like.. Snap graph to Cell edges: hold down ALT key and drag corner or side markers on any object. CTRL resizes while keeping same center pointWhat depends on the active cell? CTRL+ ] (bracket) selects any cells that use this cell. CTRL + [ to see what the active cell depends on.Remove Dupes in a column: Data Menu>Filter>Advanced Filter. Check Copy to another location (select a Copy To range). Unique records only. OKCustom Number Format: Use text when the value is zero, otherwise use the value with a custom format: 0,000.00;-0,000.00;"Enter Value Here"Excel Safe Mode: Start Excel without add-ins/macros to correct issues quickly. (Windows) Use the Start menu's run command to run excel /sKey Shortcut - Editing a cell formula and need to see the result? Hit F9 while editing a cell to see the value returned. Hit Esc to cancel.Macro Tip - Run a macro or VBA sub by from any drawing item or autoshape. Right click the shape and select Assign Macro.
