I would like to install windows 7 into my computer. I have windows vista on my computer with a 500gb hard drive into 3 partitions. Can I keep vista on c: drive and install windows seven on D: or E: drive without disturbing my files on c drive? Hope I haven't confused you all…
I have never tried this. But I do have dual booting but on two separate hard drives. However I do always format only one partition when I re-install windows. So for example I only delete the C: partition, recreate it, and then install a fresh copy of windows on that. I leave D and E intact and untouched with all thier files still there. You could try this. If you keep clear of C: drive, and just delete the D partition and install windows seven on there. This way you should be leaving vista on C: drive untouched. Hope you understand what I am babbling about.
I am also using dual boot. I have XP and Vista. I installed those two in different partttions. I recommend you also to install OS in different partitions.
