Hi pianolessongirlI have seen these weird things going on before but most of the time it was due to a clash of plugins... Did you try disabling your plugins?Does comments work then...Also before going any further make sure you backup.

Did you know that there is an option to enable comments on each page and post too? When you are editing your post it should be down below. If you do not see this option then go to the top right and press on screen options to see what you want to show… I have use Akismet and GASP antispam together and this works well... One by themselves didn't work enough for me.. I never have used IP deny so I cannot comment on this..Also did you try disabling IP deny?
