Hi all.I'm new here and frankly speaking, I'm really frustrated with my PC.
I would have suggested to upgrade the PSU but you tried that..But then what about old drivers..Have you removed all ATi drivers? What about the settings in the BIOS...Are they set to onboard video?
Hey i also found this about the Sapphire HD 5830 Xtreem needing a particular bios to run it.. http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=147301
I've tried changing the settings in the BIOS but it's not working. I have also uninstalled all the other drivers but nothing seems to work.I borrowed a CPU from my friend (an i3 running on a PCI-e 2.0) and plugged in the HD 5830. Fired up without a hitch! Just to make sure my PSU is working fine, I switched the PSU and no problem at all! Oh no! Don't tell me I need to upgrade my motherboard, CPU and RAM just to use the HD 5830!!!!! God! No!!!!!
hmm try taking out the tiny bater thing its like a c battery it should be small but not tiny after taking it out wait a minute then plug it back in also please note this involves a process that may void your warranty so dont say i didnt warn youalso if anything flashing the bios would make it worse
