I'd be surprised if there any genuinely free large libraries of music, especially legal ones. I have come across the odd site with a small library, and my assumption is that they are either tolerated by the artists concerned or haven't come to their attention. If there are, I also would be very interested in hearing about it, and I hope someone is able to tell us one! There are sites who claim to be free, but ask you for your mobile phone number in the process of signing up, then you read the fine print and you are signing up for premium sms services like ringtones at like 20 bucks weekly. As George W. would say, I disrecommend those...Many people use P2P (peer to peer) filesharing programs to search for music online. A filesharing program combines all users together to make one massive library. With millions of people online at once, when you search on one of these filesharing programs you are effectively searching through millions of other peoples music collections(while they are also searching yours!). One of the most popular, and therefore with the largest 'library',

Ok, I'm gonna let you guys on a secrete when it come to downloading music for free. While its not really legal its way safer then any other methods like using torrents or going to all kind of sites full of viruses. If you are using Chrome, look for this extension: YouTube Downloader: MP3 / HD Video Download 12.0If you are using Firefox, look for a similar plugin, if you don't find it, install Chrome.Install the extension and activate. Go to youtube.com, search for you favorite song. Under the play bar where you have the share and like/dislike buttons you have now a new button, "Download" - choose MP3 - song will download in Chrome's default downloading folder. Cheers.
