When you come across a video file that you cannot play you can easily find out what codecs it contains by using a program called GSPOT. All you do is download this tiny program, extract it, then click on the exe to open to program. Then open the video file in this program and it will show you what it contains. The video format might be divx or xvid in an AVI package and it could have mp3 audio, lame, PCM, and so on….This program tells you everything… It even tells you the size of the video or movie clip.
