I was just logging in to windows as usual, when the comp froze right before I chose the user. When the comp restarted, I got this message:"We apologize for the inconvenience but windows did not start succesfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this.If your computer stopped responding, restarted unexpectedly, or was automatically shut down to protect your files and folders choose Last Known Good Configuration to revert to the most recent settings that worked. If a previous start up attempt was interrupted due to a power failiure or because the power or reset button was pressed, or if you arent sure what caused the problem, choose Start Windows Normally."Here are the options it gave me:"Safe ModeSafe Mode with NetworkingSafe Mode with Command PromptLast Known Good ConfigurationStart Windows Normally"whatever i choose it always come back in this menu...can someone pls help me. thank you & more power...April 24, 2009 at 10:15 pm #31790

No need to reformat, just repair it. Reformat erase all software you installed. So use repair option to keep your installed softwares.
