So I've been searching around and I can't seem to find anyone with the same symptoms as my computer and I've tried a few things and nothing seems to help at all. So here's the short story: I left my comp on all night last night as I always do (only turn off my monitor) and when I woke up, I pressed the little button to turn the monitor on and the screen stayed black. I tried restarting it, screen just stayed black but the normal little "beep" still sounds and the computer sounds like how it normally would start up. I tried booting my putting the Windows 7 disc into the disc tray and pressing F8 as it's loading, the disc spins but nothing shows up. My computer has a graphics card (NVIDIA 9800 GT) as well as an on-board video plug. I tried plugging it into the on-board plug and still got a black screen.I'm like at a brick wall and I need some help getting overMay 29, 2011 at 12:27 pm #33282
Did you remove the extra video card or just move the plug?Did you try another monitor?Would the computer be stuck in sleep mode? When you pressed F8 this is to get to the advanced boot options menu..did you see this one the screen? When you put the cd in..was the light flashing like it was reading the cd?
