Hello, I have an alienware m15x and am having some problems turning it on. It will run the bios screen (with only two options, F2 for BIOS setup and F12 for start up menu) and then goes to a black screen with a white, flashing cursor where I can't type or do anything except turning off the computer. There is no option for starting it up in safe mode and the computer is a laptop so I don't know if I can disassemble it and check the parts without voiding a warranty. I'm also not very proficient with computers and woudn't be able to tell whether the parts had problems or not. A few days before this problem, my computer crashed due to a corrupt windows file and I needed to wipe my whole system in order to solve it. Between then and now, every time I have turned on the computer I have got a blue screen error message, but the computer worked anyways. If you need any more details or know how to solve this problem, please post in the discussion or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.Any help would be much appreciatedThanks,Tamarack1500

i too have a alienware laptop and have a respect for their owners so kudos, also im assuming when your speaking of a blue screen your getting a blue screen of death also considering your computer doesnt get past the bios before failing it might have been currupted also opening can void warranties and in your case would be useless because your problem is software
