Hi thereMaking a program start with Task scheduler can be easy, but it really depends on what program you are trying to run. If you are trying to run a batch file it can be a bit more difficult. For example I have a batch file (for Vista) that copies my files in the picture folder and makes a backup of it somewhere else. This is what it looks like.Code:robocopy "C:UsersMy usernamePictures" "C:UsersMy usernamebackup testPictures" /E /ETA /Z /PURGE
Now to run this with task scheduler you need to add cscript.exe as the program to run then add the path to where the actual batch file is kept as the program script. That is meant to work in theory, however I cannot get it to work. The actual batch file works great so this is not the problem..Can anyone give me some examples of how to get this to run...Or even examples of what program you run with task scheduler and what you type in...and where?????January 6, 2009 at 5:55 pm #30808January 6, 2009 at 10:03 pm #30809
