I have tried many anti-virus and internet security suites. I use to think Trend Micro was very good, but they lost me with the 2008 version, which had a lot of problems. This year I have also grown to like Panda, which works very well, and F-Secure.F-Secure annoy me with spam though. However, I keep reverting to my tried and true Kaspersky Internet Security. This one can't be beaten in my view, for both effectiveness and user friendliness. It is the only one that I have ever actually bought, and its been the best for years as far as I am concerned. They consistently beat all other security suites in benchmark testing, and I have never, ever, had a virus get through that I am aware of.Kaspersky have a great set of online manuals, all linked to in their control panel. This one is a must read for any internet surfer, very comprehensive, and explains exactly what all kinds of threats are and what they do. I am sure you will find it very educational reading.http://www.kaspersky.com/reading_room?chapter=207716786

I had Macafee but then it made my computer slow when it started scanning so now I switched to Avira and I am happy with it.
