I try to send an email to one of these contacts and its like they do not exist.
What do you meant they dont exist? The emails bounce back at you? They wont send? You click on send and the window disappears and nothing seems to have happened? I can't explain your address book problem. Are you saying you have already entered them manually into thunderbird, or that you typed them in yourself into outlook? What I suggest is that you rename the .csv file to .txt, open the file with notepad, then manually add addresses and details for each user by copying and pasting from the .txt file. Its not ideal, I know, but at least it will work. Its very easy to make a mistake typing and often its better to copy and paste. The best I can think of is that perhaps thunderbird cant read a .csv file, which would surprise me as its just a text file, but not sure about that right now. I will find out, though.
