I have never tried this. But I do have dual booting but on two separate hard drives. However I do always format only one partition when I re-install windows. So for example I only delete the C: partition, recreate it, and then install a fresh copy of windows on that. I leave D and E intact and untouched with all thier files still there. You could try this. If you keep clear of C: drive, and just delete the D partition and install windows seven on there. This way you should be leaving vista on C: drive untouched. Hope you understand what I am babbling about.
