I havent mentioned OEM (original equipment manufacturers) operating systems as in Australia, its very hard to get suppliers to part with them unless you actually have a business that resells PC. You can get them on ebay readily enough though, and perhaps I should have mentioned this. The average user who goes into a PC shop and asks for an OEM version of Windows will not usually be sold one.OEM versions can also create problems if you want to reinstall. I've had arguments with the Asian girls at the Microsoft support centre who insisted that I couldnt activate the OEM version again, as it had already been installed in a computer. I won of course, as they have no way of proving that I havent just had a hardware fault, but I've found it a whole bunch easier to get retail versions of Windows reactivated. As someone who does this for a living, you are more than welcome to add any other details or corrections to this post. I'm just a geek, and always willing to learn or be corrected.
