Are you having a problem with your spam emails in Windows Live Mail. I did.
I try very hard to control spam emails and I like to keep my inbox clean and tidy. The problem I had was when I tried to delete spam email from windows Live mail, even if the emails were already in the actual JUNK folder.
I would select the spam email in the junk folder by making it blue and then right click on it to choose delete from the menu. Unfortunately the email couldn’t be deleted and an error message appears saying “An unknown error occurred”. See the screenshot below.
After a while I had a few spam emails that were just stuck in my junk folder. I couldn’t delete them.
I searched around for a solution but most people recommended removing the entire Windows Live Email program and reinstalling. That was crazy.
Finally I found a solution.
Cannot Delete Spam Emails From Windows Live Mail
- Open Windows Live Email.
- In the left Quick View menu right click on your junk folder.
- A menu will appear. Choose Empty “Junk email” folder.
- This will delete the entire junk folder contents.
If there are any stubborn emails that you cannot delete in any other folders, simply do the same thing. For example you can right click on the deleted items folder and delete all contents.
- To show the Quick view menu go to the view tab at the top of the program, then click on compact view to either show more or less.
