Many people on the internet presume that Ebay is a place to buy and sell bargains, and that’s what you do. But no, it’s so much more. You can actually make money from visitors to your website that click on a link that refers them onto Ebay. You not only get paid for the click, you get paid if they register for EBay and if they place a bid and win an auction. You really cannot lose by joining the Ebay Partner Network and becoming an Ebay Affiliate.
How do you sign up for the Ebay Partner Network to become and Ebay Affiliate?
- First thing you should do is sign up for To become a member of Ebay, the website, because you will need to be a member there. Signup for Ebay
- Then go to the signup page for the Ebay Partner Network
- After you have signed up to become an Ebay affiliate you will have to be approved.
What is the main Criteria for joining the Ebay Affiliate Network to start making money?
This is a good question, and no one I know can answer this. The only thing I can say is that they have made it a lot harder to be accepted into this Ebay Affiliate program. I have heard of people that were previously signed up through commission junction, have now been rejected by Ebay’s new policies.
All I can do is give you my tips on how to get accepted into the Ebay Affiliate Partner Network. These following comments are not Ebay Affiliate rules, they are only my suggestions.
- Make sure you have a good online reputation.
- Make sure you have a well established website that is full of content.
- Make sure you have at least 500 unique visitors a day to your website. (This is just a guess).
It is tough to get accepted into the Ebay Affiliate program but it is worth it in the end. And if you do get rejected they welcome you to re-apply in the future.
Is the Ebay Affiliate Program better than Google Adsense?
They are both fantastic programs but they both earn you money in very different ways. Google lets you place targeted ads on your website and you get paid per click (PPC). So each time a person clicks on an add you get paid. Some ads pay very well too. I have had up to $4.00 for one click.
Now the Ebay Affiliate Network is very different. It also PPC but the revenue is very small. However that is not where the money is. If a visitor clicks on a link, bids, and wins, you get a percentage of Ebay’s earnings. Also even bigger earnings can be made if a new user signs up to Ebay. For example a person clicks on a link to EBay form your website, (you get 15cents), then buys something for $1,340.00 and completes the sale, (you get approx $52.00). If the person had to register for Ebay first, depending on the Country of registration, you might earn another $20. That’s a lot of money for just one click. This doesn’t happen all the time, however it can happen.
I think the Ebay Affiliate Partner Network could become a better earner than Google, however it depends on your website.
Should I signup for the Ebay Affiliate Partner Network?
Yes. It has so many different ways to earn money and you can target ads to your customers needs. For example if I did an article about top 10 hard drives I could have a link to see them on Ebay. It’s that easy.

Yeah I just applied for Amazon affiliates and Ebay Affiliates, and I got denied for the Ebay one. Ebay sent me a huge list of reasons which may help other people. Apparently you can only affiliate with Ebay, one of the reasons they declined me was because I had an Amazon banner.

Thank you for applying to the eBay Partner Network. We regret to inform you that we cannot accept your application at this time.
Like many other affiliate programs, eBay Partner Network has a thorough application vetting process to ensure a good fit between a potential affiliate and the goals of the network. There are a number of reasons why your eBay Partner Network application may have been declined. Some of these include:
* You are not in compliance with the eBay Partner Network Agreement and/or Code of Conduct.
* The stated website that you plan to promote us from is non-functioning or inaccessible
* The quality of your stated website is not in line with our network standards
* The information you submitted in your application (contact information and your description of how you plan to promote eBay Partner Network) is incomplete or unclear
* Your business model or stated website does not appear to be one that would attract eBay buyers (the eBay Partner Network does not currently provide commissions for bringing eBay sellers or listings to the site)
* Your business model involves re-directing traffic directly to eBay from display ad networks or paid search (no longer allowed per our Terms and Conditions)
* Your business model involves a sub-affiliate model (no longer allowed per our Terms and Conditions)
This is a valuable information I plan to revisit your blog in the future. Beside of that I think you add more videos and pictures because it helps visitors.:)
