Has your hard drive crashed? Don’t worry!
With advanced hard drive data recovery techniques, now it is possible to recover your lost or inaccessible data from any instance of hard drive failure or crash.
Though there are varieties of storage media available in the current market, still hard drive is undoubtedly the primary data storage media. Most of the computer users use their system hard drive as the default location for storing data. Even if users take back-up of their important official data in other secondary storage media, before backing up, the processed data get stored on the hard drive. Also, many users use external hard drives as their back-up drive that stores the second safe copy of their important data.
Thus, users may have options to store their data in optical media (CD/DVD/Blu-ray disc etc.), USB flash drives, SSD drives; still it is the hard drive that is mostly used. This is the reason, if the hard drive storing so much precious data in it fails; it becomes a nightmarish data loss situation.
However, gone are the days when hard drive failures have no solution. Now, with the advancement in technology, especially development of powerful data recovery software and service techniques; your data can be easily recovered from the crashed hard drive.
Here, the only important thing is to zero-in the nature of hard drive failure and going for the appropriate data loss situation. In general, there are two categories of hard drive failure. One is logical failure and the other is physical failure.
Logical Hard Drive Failure:
There are few common reasons behind a logical hard drive crash, such as file system corruption, OS malfunction, severe conflict with recently installed hardware/software and virus /malware infection.
Following any of the above cases, your hard drive may encounter a troubled start-up or complete inaccessibility. The first thing is to check, whether it is a logical failure or the hard drive has actually been physically damaged. The best way to know this is to go to the BIOS, while starting-up and check whether the hard drive is shown or not.
If the hard drive is still listed there, there is some logical corruption for which it has become inaccessible and you can try repairing the hard drive. The first part of resolution must start with the operating system installation disc and try repairing the same. If this does not work, you need to run a utility to repair the file system. For Windows, you can use CHKDSK, whereas for Mac and other UNIX based systems, you can use FSCK utility. In case there is severe corruption in the drive, these utilities fail, but you can still get back your data by using a good data recovery software.
These data recovery software are completely safe on the data and at the same time highly powerful to ensure guaranteed recovery of all your data in their original format.
Physical Hard Drive Failure:
If BIOS is not showing your hard drive or there is clicking/clinging sound at start-up or even no sound of disk movement, then may be your hard drive has been physically damaged. There are several reasons behind the physical failure of hard disk and the symptoms also vary similarly. It can be a mechanical components failure, electrical damage or firmware corruption that is responsible for the failure of the hard drive.
For such situations, now there are many hard drive data recovery service providers in the market. With advanced data recovery tools, techniques, skilled team of engineers and must needed CLASS 100 Clean Room labs, these recovery service providers are able to recover data from any damaged hard drive safely.
we have hp server with raid5 of three hard drive the server got down and could not boot from read5 and can not detect the hard drive
so is it posible for your software to recover the data from read 5 where the windows could not detect them.
w/ regards
The way to find out for sure is to go to the software website and contact the support before buying.. I think they have instant 24-7 chat.
when i start my laptop it says Smart Hard Disk Error (301)
please give me some tips how can i fix it
Backup of all the important files is very important because data failures are triggered by number of reasons including hard drive problems. Unfortunately people have no concept of data backup. Get a software with good brand popularity already in the market as well as open conditions and terms. The article has given me best guidelines. Regards
hi i have an emtec Q100 sata external hard drive but it crashed and it makes some clicking sounds worst of all is that, it does not appear on my computer when i connect. i don’t even know how to start recoverying my data. Nedd help pls thx
Hello Nelson,
You need to recover your ex. hard drive data ASAP and please avoid using it until the stored data has been recovered.
To recover data, Follow these steps carefully:
1) Download Partition Recovery Software from here:
http://www.stellarinfo.com/partition-recovery.htm
2) After installing, open the program. From the home screen, chose ‘Drive Recovery’ option.
3) Attach your external hard drive and it will automatically shows on the drive recovery menu.
4) Chose the drive and click on ‘Start Scan’.
5) It may take some time depending on the capacity of your hard drive. Once the scan will complete, you can see any or all external hard drive data in the right pane. You are allowed to see the preview of recoverable files and folders before actual recovery.
6) Once you assured that the deleted data is still on the drive, you can opt for the premium version for complete recovery.
Any help or support, you can contact the support team of Stellar via it’s official website: http://www.stellarinfo.com
Good Luck!!
Thanks
Oliver
Hello sir, I am using seagate freeagent 320 GB external hard disk since 2010, I don’t have other backup. Now this external is not recognised by the computer and its making beep sound. I have many important data in that.
Kindly suggest, what could be the solution to recover the data from the external?
I would try the external on another computer. I would try another cable..then I would put the hard drive in another external case. if all fails I would take it to a pro because the data is too precious to mess with.
Dear Nayana,
Here are few things to check if your hard drive is failing or going to,
1) Check weather or not the Ext. hard drive is showing in disk management. If not, its clear signs of failing hard drive.
2) Hard Drive not detectable by your BIOS also shows the troubled hard drive.
You can follow the mitz guidelines to see if it becomes detectable by your system and if not, can take help of professional data recovery software which is pretty powerful in scanning damaged or non readable hard drive.
Post back with your status or for any further help.
Good Luck!!
With cutting edge technologies, nothing seems too far. Even the data from the burned, hampered or freezes hard drive can be recovered. SSD recovery, RAID recovery, e discovery, email recovery, forensics recovery are the brilliant examples.
Thanks for the comment Mika, but you may be wrong. Disposing hard drive after it’s failure or completely formatting it is not the right solution to deal well with your confidential piece of data because the important data possible still clicking somewhere and can be recovered using special recovery program or services.
You have to have standard disk wiping software to completely overwrite the data or make it broken .
