What is Fiverr you say? It is a website where people advertise jobs that they can do for $5. Everything costs $5. I am not sure why the website is not called the $5 site? Anyway, there are thousands of jobs advertised , including people offering computer help. There are ads for getting rid of viruses, fixing a computer problem, even doing a system restore. Sounds too good to be true you say? Ah, this is what I thought.
Should you really be giving a complete stranger access to your computer, to roam around freely, and search and destroy your problem? This is what happens if you were to employ someone remotely to fix your computer. You must let them in via your internet connection, behind your protection, and basically into your home. They could copy your files, delete files, or even worse, crash your computer.
How does Fiverr work?
To do anything on Fiverr you will have to register, which by the way is the easiest process I have seen.
If you want to find someone to do a particular job for you then you can easily type your keyword into the search in the right sidebar.
- For example I would type in “website link“.
- When I find someone I like I can press on the order now button.
- You can also click on Contact Seller before buying to ask questions.
If you want to offer your services you can simple fill in the sentence at the top of the homepage that says “I will……….for $5″ and then press continue.
It is all very basic and easy to use.
What type of jobs can you get done on Fiverr?
You can get almost anything you imagine done for you on Fiverr, but within reason of course. You can’t get someone to take your granny to the shops for the afternoon but you can get someone to sack one of your annoying employees by email or over the phone. Yes this is true..There are totally normal job posts there and others that make you wonder, “Who in their right mind would want that?” I mean seriously, would you want to pay $5 to yell at someone for half an hour or hug 10 people on the street and send you proof?
Here is a list of cool, useful jobs you can get done for you on Fiverr:
- Get a business logo designed.
- Get someone to research something for you.
- Get a photo edited to make you look like a gangster or an avatar character.
- Get cheap advertising on other websites.
- Get graphics made for you.
- Get a poem or story written for you.
- Get a song written or sung for you.
- Setup a WordPress website.
- Edit html code for you.
- And more…

Jobs I do not recommend getting done:
- Virus removal. (If you know the company then that is fine)
- Computer help, giving access to your private computer.
- Youtube views on videos. (fake people watching your videos)
- Gaining Twitter followers. (fake people following you)
When Is it OK to get computer help on Fiverr and give access to your computer?
Its not really ok to do this, however there are special circumstances to consider. The person offering this service might have hundred’s of previous customers feedback that are almost impossible to fake.. The feeback is located uder the job description. It looks a bit like comments on a blog. If there are no comments there it means they have not done this job for anyone yet.

Yes I get heaps from there too!!! I got someone to review my website on video..It was amazing and the guy really looked at it from a different point of view.
I LOVE Fiverr. It’s amazing what a wide range of jobs you can find people offering there. But yes, I’ve also come across hilarious/pathetic ones.. like “I will be your girlfriend on Facebook for $5″ HAHAH. They always make me laugh.

I’ve been using fiverr for some months already and it is pretty good. But not every other site with the same concept seems to be a clone. I saw an article yesterday about a new site called PeopleStox (http://www.peoplestox.com) that offers a different approach. Curiously though, I found some of the fiverr sellers there as well. I felt comfortable with that site right away because I could buy from the same people I buy from fiverr.
Lets see where else I find you guys. Good luck to all of you in these new sites.
Cheers
Yes. There are many useful clone sites like Fiverr such as Zeerk, Gigbucks, etc. But Fiverr has some better advancement and features when compared with its clone software.
If you take a look at “Express Gigs”, it is really a pretty new feature in Fiverr. The big question is whether it provides useful jobs or useless jobs. Many people use Fiverr for SEO related things and video content. Why can’t people offer some expert advice at low cost with Fiverr platform. Definitely, not for charity but as a social service.
To give something instead of nothing is better. The online media is always open. It is in the hands of right minded people to make a service better and of high quality.

Five Aussie Dollar is here – Australia’s first fiverr site for Aussies, international customers welcome!
I have test the european Website dealerr.com.
First of all the price is different, as 5€ equal a bit more than 6$ the quality you get seems to be higher on the European site.
The latest Fiverr style website to enter the scene is UpHype.com. This one’s is all about “Hype” and is more focussed on marketing efforts to promote your message, business or product? UpHype jobs are called “Hypes”. Hypes range from promoting your message to a user’s 100,000 Twitter followers to writing an article or press release for your blog. http://uphype.com. Plus it has a fun design like fiverr.
As fiverr.com is an amazing concept, you’ll find more other similar sites.
I just found fiverr European clone, well looks almost the same
