When someone sends you a file through a Bluetooth device it usually gets saved to the Bluetooth exchange folder. By default the Bluetooth exchange folder is located in the Documents folder on your computer.
Here’s how to get to your Bluetooth exchange folder:
- Go to the start menu in the bottom left corner.
- Choose your user name and then documents or just click straight on the documents link.
- Your Bluetooth exchange folder will be there in the documents folder.
When a file has been sent to your Bluetooth exchange folder from another Bluetooth device, there will be a balloon popup in the taskbar notification area.
Hello ,above you said this :
“When a file has been sent to your Bluetooth exchange folder from another Bluetooth device, there will be a balloon popup in the taskbar notification area”
I have a Lenovo G580 Windows 7 OS and when i first sent a music file from my Nokia phone to my laptop ,indeed, the message you speak about was showed.
But in Bluetooth Exchange Folder i created a folder named “Mariah Carey” because in that moment that’s what i transfered (Mariah Carey music files, wich i wanted to go in that folder).
Also , i checked the option that all my music files to go into Mariah Carey folder(because i wanted not to select for every single file to go there).
Starting this moment ,all my music went in this folder ,not having the possibility to change the path for music files and the message “Request to access PIM Item transfer service” is not showed anymore.
Also,I tried to erase the folder “Mariah Carey” from Bluetooth Exchange Folder but each time i send a music file to my laptop ,this folder is created automatically.
I tried also to uninstall the phone and remove it from the list of the devices there were in wireless connection with my laptop and after to install it again .But the problem is still there.
If i connect another phone to my laptop ,the message that i talk about is showed ,but for my particular phone- don’t.
So,what can i do in order to send music files in other location that automatically created folder “Mariah Carey”?
Thank you !
