Every time you want to set up an email account in your Outlook Express you will need to know the particular settings for that email account as there are sop many companies providing emails nowadays. If you have a Godaddy email address then you will need to gather the incoming and outgoing email server settings from the Godaddy.com website.
To setup a Godaddy email account in Outlook Express you will need:
- Your username for your email account at Godaddy.
- Your password.
- The incoming mail server name.
- The outgoing mail server name.
- The port settings and details.
What are the email settings for Godaddy email account?
- Account Type: POP3.
- Incoming mail server: pop.secureserver.net
- Outgoing Mail Server: smtpout.secureserver.net (SMTP)
- Incoming mail port: 110
- Outgoing mail port: 80

- Go to the mail tab.
- Now make the account you just created blue.
- Then choose properties from the side menu.
- Now the Properties for your Godaddy email account will come up. See the screenshot below.
- Go to the Servers tab. Here you can check your incoming and outgoing mail servers and also tick the box that says My server requires authentication.
- Now press on the settings button that will become enabled to push when you tick the box. See below.
- Now see below. Put a check in the box that says Use the same settings as my incoming mail server. This means it will use the same user name and password for incoming and outgoing mail.

- Now go to the Advanced tab.
- Change the outgoing port to 80.
- Then change the incoming port to 110.
- Now press ok.
Extra Computer Help
- If you do not have any previous email accounts setup in Outlook Express the account wizard will open when you open the program. Fill in the details when prompted. You can also go back and check all the settings using the steps above.
- You cannot make your hotmail email open in Outlook
- In Windows Vista it is pretty much the same in Windows Mail, however the incoming and outgoing ports may be in different positions so be careful where you enter then.
- When you have an email account that has taken some time to setup you should Backup your Email Account Settings and next time you need them you can simply import them back into Outlook or Windows Mail.

I have just arrived in Paris, France. I receive messages, but can’t send messages via Outlook Express. I am renting where there is LiveBox, which I believe is with Orange.fr. I don’t know what to change in my outgoing configuration … tried all the above suggestions. Still, the messages won’t send.
Open up a hotmail account or a Gmail account to use so you do not have to change your settings in Outlook express. This is the quickest option that I can give you. You can also divert your e-mails that come into Outlook express straight to your temporary account by setting up a message rule. This article is about setting up a message rule for an auto e-mail, but you can use it to forward the message to your new temporary account. Hope this helps.

Hi there I do not give phone support but for telstra the incoming and outgoing server is the same. it is mail.bigpond.com
It is a pop3 account and you do not have to setup any ports as it uses default.

I’m using Windows Mail (Vista) and GoDaddy. I primarily check via Windows mail on my PC. I have the settings correct,”Leave copy on server”, “Delete when deleted…”, but GoDaddy doesn’t sync – my mailbox often becomes full (graphic designer).
Anybody know how to get GoDaddy to “sync” with Windows Mail 6? Thanks!
Just got the new Galaxy S 4G and was not sure where to get the settings. This was a HUGE help. Thanks for sharing.

GoDadday indicates that 80 is preferred output port, but that 80 doesn’t always work and you must use alternate such as 25 or 3535.
Especially when you are traveling… If you can receive email but attempting to send results in messages stuck in your outbox, try changing output port to 80, 25 or 3535.
Thanks so much … my problem too was the outgoing serve port number.
I so appreciate your help!
Thanks for the outgoing port number. I thought that might be my problem but could not locate the information within the godaddy site. Thanks so much and I owe you a beer! Marty
Works like a charm. Thanks!

I tried everything you suggested down to a tee. It still won’t work for me. A login popup box keeps popping up every time I use an SMTP port other than 25.
Yeah,I think it is very good.
thank you for your share.
