LAN:- LAN is a logical explanation of how big a network can be called LOCAL.

If 2 or more computer or communicating devices which are located in a room or on a Floor or in a building or within a campus if connected are said to be connected on LAN.

MAN:-
If 2 or more computer or communicating devices or network which are geographically separated but located within the city, if connected are said to be connected on MAN.

WAN:-
If 2 or more computer or communicating devices or network which are geographically separated but located outside the city, if connected are said to be connected on WAN.

for example:-
If your Head office is in Churchgate and branch office in mulund and if they are connected then they are connected on MAN.
Whereas
If your Head office is in Churchgate and branch office in Thane and if they are connected then they are connected on WAN.

Because they are just the Logical explanation.

Lan :- Lan Stands for Local Area Network that means a network in which computers are use single resources in the limited Area . It is not necessary that a computer should be in the same room but should be connected via common connection .
