Hi there
Have you seen this article...http://tips4pc.com/articles/computer%20troubleshooting/how_to_connect_two_computers_to.htm

You can connect two computers to one modem... And the Internet service provider does not care because they are still only supplying one connection.. If you are both using it you might notice a slower speed...that's all.

The other option is to buy a router... If you do then here are some tips http://tips4pc.com/articles/networking%20tips/networking_tips.htm

Thank you for all the good and easy to understand advice. I want to hook two pc's up to one DSL modem so I can access the web on either one. I guess from your suggestions the easiest way is to buy a router. I didn't understand the bridged USB and I am afraid to burn up my pc's. They were given to me and I can not afford to replace one even though they are old. My husband watches TV news and movies and I like to do other things. I don't think my DSL provider will let us use both at once. Thanks again I added you to my circle as a follower.
