If you want to store large files on there then you will have to get a flash drive with more storage space. You can buy large USB flash drives but the price will depend on the size. For example you can get a 128 GB USB flash drive for around $100. If you are looking for bigger storage than what a USB flash drive can offer, the next step is to look at buying an external hard drive.

You have explained few nice points.
I like to add that now we can use USB as an OS backup too. In case DVD gets scratch we can use USB to install windows.
