Get Targeted traffic to your website

Everyone wants and needs targeted traffic to their site. Especially now that is so simple to make small to large amounts of money from Google Adsense. All you have to do is get them there. You want visitors to your site who are already interested in your site’s topic and who are more likely to benefit from your site’s content or products.

What is targeted traffic?

When all is said and done, targeted traffic is simply website visitors that want what you have on your website. It can get very technical but a bit of common sense can also help. For example if you have a website about “dog training” then you want to attract traffic that is interested in that subject in particular. If you get cat lovers to a dog training website, what do you think happens?

There are many ways to target the right customers for our websites and keywords is one way. After all people type keywords into search engines to find what they want.

Here are some tips to increase targeted traffic to your website

The number one tip of all is perseverance

Don’t ever stop trying. A million dollars has never been made by sitting there wishing it would come. Check out how I am trying to make my million at http://www.tips4pc.com

Get Google Adwords

You have to pay for this service but it can be as low as $5 a week, depending on your budget. Ads about your site will be placed on sites that have similar topics to your site. This will bring you the ultimate targeted traffic as all of their ads are only put on similar sites and on searches for keywords you target.

Search Engine Optimization

Of course I have to mention SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Its all about keywords and inbound links. This is the art of optimizing a webpage for certain keywords. Therefore when people click on a link hoping to find particular content, hopefully they will because you have SEOed your pages.

Search engine optimization will help tell the search engines what is on your page so they know who to send there.

Write articles

Write articles on topics that relate to your website and submit them to other sites. Make sure they are interesting, detailed how to’s with links to your website. Make your articles to the point, but always leave the reader with a thirst for more, thus visiting your site. If you write articles for topics that do not relate to your site you will not get targeted traffic.

Free Ebooks

Also write a more detailed articles and give it away as a free e-book with links to your website once again. Everyone loves free things. Let them have resell rights so your e-book travels even further around the internet. Make sure you have your website links in the book and all the content is related to your websites topic.

Create an email list

Create an email database of the visitors to your site. For example; to get the free e-book just enter your name and email address. Ask if they would like to receive your fantastic monthly newsletter. The best way to keep them subscribed to this is to give them one free fantastic piece of knowledge that they find beneficial to them. Personalize the newsletter. Have interesting content.

Create a blog

Create a free blog with a relating topic and link it your your website. You can get a free blog from WordPress.com or Blogger.com. Always be sure to use the right keywords for your anchor text pointing back to your website. This can also be part of SEO campaign or maybe your link wheel strategy. It would be nice if this turned into a profitable blog later on.

Selling on Ebay is a big one

You cannot put a link in auctions anymore, but you can put them on your About Me page. Then you can put a link to your About Me page in your Auctions. For more information on Ebay, check out my article on Ebay buying and selling tips. I have literally 100-200 visitors on just one of my auction alone in a week. And I have about 10 running a week. That can add up quickly. I also send the previous buyers an email each week letting them know what I have for auction and of course it contains a link to my site.

There are probably hundreds of ways to get more targeted traffic, however I hope my tips help you drive as much as you can to your site. Good luck, and don’t give up.

Hello,Wonderful post, although i’m more interested in what will take place out of this google vs facebook social network war. I have not found out much news on it recently, which more than likely implies that its not really that far off, but i have a feeling its really going to result in a number of huge changes to social networks. In my opinion, i’d personally prefer facebook came out of the war still in the lead simply because google’s already big enough, plus they currently hold a lot of data on absolutely everyone. I don’t reckon that both can exist though, either google’s social network will take over or totally crash. Just what does anybody else think?
