Find a user manual for your computer devices
I was very impressed when I saw this website and promptly began searching for user manuals to test if they were free and easy to get. And the answer is yes to all of the above.. I searched for my printer manual, a Speedtouch 536 modem manual, and a Belkin router manual. I got to download all of these manuals free and save them to my computer. This site is a lot easier that trying to navigate through a manufacturers website. http://safemanuals.com/ More favorite shortcut keys · Here’s another great one!! In Internet Explorer you can type one word into the address bar and then press CTRL + ENTER adds www. & .com to whatever you typed. Also SHIFT + ENTER adds www. & .net to whatever you have typed in address bar. This is handy for the .net websites, however most .com websites come up by just pressing enter as well. · In Internet Explorer press ALT + D to select the URL in the address bar with out having to try and select it with your mouse. So give this cool trick a go… o Open Internet Explorer and open a webpage up. o Press on ALT + D (selects the url in the address bar) o Then Press CTRL + C (copies the url) o Press CTRL + T to Open a new tab. o Press CTRL + V and then press enter.(pastes the url) o You have just selcted, copied and pasted a url to a website into a new window, very easily. · Pressing CTRL + D in Internet Explorer brings up the your add to favorites dialog. Don’t get ALT + D and CTRL + D mixed up.. Not that it can harm anything. · Also if you are writing something in Microsoft Word or even writing a post in Wordpress you can use these shortcuts to format your text. (First select the text by making it blue) 1. Press CTRL + B makes it bold. Pressing it again removes the bold. 2. Press CTRL + U to underline. 3. Press CTRL + I to make itallic. I use these shortcuts often because when you are typing away it just seems easier. Also I have noticed that in Worpress there is not always an option to make text underlined or itallic. Here are some more: · CTRL+C: Copy · CTRL+X: Cut · CTRL+V: Paste · CTRL+Z: Undo · CTRL+B: Bold · CTRL+U: Underline · CTRL+I: Italic Test your email security If you want to know how secure your email address is and if your Anti virus program is doing it job then you must give this test a try… What you do is go to this website http://www.gfi.com/emailsecuritytest and enter your email address and name in the boxes. Then you will need to verify that you own this email address by replying to an email. Then GFI.com sends you about 20 emails that are harmless, but with extensions and attachments that should be rejected by either your email program or your anti virus software. I actually tested my email. I am using Outlook Express and a trial version of Windows One Care. I was very impressed. Outlook Express blocked to attachments saying that they may be harmful to my computer, and Windows one care detected two small programs that were trying to do something on my computer, and fixed them for me. Change mouse clicking from double click to single click in Windows Vista and XP You don’t always have to double click on icons, files, and folders to open them. You can customize your mouseclick to suit your needs. I personally like to dispose of the double clicking and choose single click with underlining. So when you move your mouse over a filename or folder it will become underlined and makes it very clear that you are about to click on it. I hope everyone keeps safe over the Xmas holidays and please do not forget to help someone out that is less fortunate than you are.. If you can't afford to donate money to charities and the like, you can always invite a lonely person home to your house for Xmas dinner, volunteer at the food kitchens, or simply just give someone a smile...
