It’s the Google Talk comment box. You can comment on there anonymously or sign in if you are a member. You can leave me a request for a tutorial or even ask a quick question if you like. On the forum we have had some new members join us that have made the forum come alive with interesting posts and topics. We also have 3 qualified techies manning the boards. And don’t forget that every question is worth answering. Some people are embarrassed to ask questions because they think it is a dumb question. There are no dumb questions on our forum!!!!! Every question is important!!!

How to tell the difference between a hard drive and a partition. Good question??? As both hard drives and partitions on a hard drive look the same in my computer, how do you tell which is which? Well this picture below tells a thousand words. This is a screenshot of disk management.
If we look at DISK 0 in this screenshot, we see drives C:, D:, and E:, all in the same row. And if we look at DISK 1 we see J: all by itself with 11mb spare and unlabeled. This means there are two hard drives here which are DISK 0 and DISK 1. Disk 0 has 3 partitions which are c,d,e and DISK 1 has only j: and can turn that 11mb into another partition later. For more information on this subject see What is the difference between a partition and a hard drive?
Compare or merge two different files or folders
I came across two files that were very similar and needed to know the difference between the two. A friend had suggested a free program called Winmerge. Well I thought I would give it a go and was amazed at the results. Winmerge even shows if there is a letter that is different and shows you exactly where it is. It also has a view whitespace option that finds any unwanted spaces.
Copy text to a notepad automatically
If you are constantly copying text and pasting it into notepads, this is for you. Sometimes I surf the internet for information and copy huge amounts of text from all different sources. It was really annoying having to copy the text, then go and open a notepad, and then paste the text into the notepad, and then go back to where I was surfing. Then I found a tiny little program that you can download for free that will save you from all these unnecessary steps. Its called Send to Notepad and that’s exactly what it does. Anything you copy will be sent to the notepad, no need to go and paste it on there. All you have to do is have the mini program open and it will suck up any text you copy…I love it!!! http://www.brothersoft.com/send-to-notepad-136075.html NOTE: to download press on the blue download link, not the advert that looks like a download link.
Happy Easter!!! (If you celebrate it)
ALL I EVER NEEDED TO KNOW ABOUT LIFE I
LEARNED FROM THE EASTER BUNNY Adapted by Dr Judy Esmond
· Don't put all of your eggs in one basket · Hop softly and carry a big carrot · Everyone needs friends who are all ears · Some body parts should be floppy · All work and no play can make you a hopping mad · A cute little tail attracts a lot of attention · Everyone is entitled to a bad hare day · Your happy thoughts should always multiply like rabbits · Keep your paws off other people's chocolate · The grass isn't always greener in someone else's basket · Always have your Easter egg hunt in the cool of the morning
·
And finally, in life you just sometimes have to believe
