Should I choose FAT32 or NTFS file
system when I format my computer?
I could easily bore you with
a load of technical jargon on this subject, however why bother? Its all
about how we store files and folders, access them, compress them and more.
FAT16 and FAT32 (File allocation table) have become outdated and NTFS is the
latest development. NTFS is not exactly new either but its all we
have. Like all new technologies,
NTFS was designed to be bigger and better than FAT32 in every way. It has
better security features, enables compression, and allows the use of larger
files. It is the default file system for new installations of Windows
XP an windows Vista. .

Change your drive letter in Window XP
Although
the drive letters A and B are reserved for floppy disk drives, every other
letter in the alphabet is available to be assigned to the hard drives in a
computer. The main hard drive, by default, is always C drive. When you add more
hard drives or cd drives, Windows Xp assigns a drive letter to them
automatically.
If you
don't like what drive letter Windows XP has assigned, it is your choice to
change it. I usually like the hard drives set with drive letter that run in a

File sharing between Windows XP and

Seems there are a number of people having
problems sharing files between their Windows XP and Windows Vista computers. Me
included. So after some research and playing around, I have finally worked out
how to share my Vista files so that XP users can access them. With the release of Vista, the default workgroup
is MSHOME, not WORKGROUP like it is in XP. So make sure both PC’s are on the
same workgroup before attempting to share files between XP and Vista. In XP, go to Control Panel > System. Then on the
“Computer Name” tab, click the change button, and edit the workgroup to be the
same as Vista (MSHOME).

Thoroughly empathising with what I had read about transferring pictures from

revelation, for I felt it was impossible to recover the lost photos. Wondering
if a solution was possible, I scanned the web. Here, I read about the
possibility of
recovering deleted pictures using the DIY recovery software.

When your LCD needs to be cleaned, the best way
to do it is with a diluted isopropyl alcohol solution made of water and at

and leave it looking cloudy. Also avoid paper towels, since they can easily
scratch an LCD as they drag dirt and paper particles over the surface of the

computer memory or RAM
Without getting too technical
here, the computer memory stores temporary information for the computer to
have easy access to it. The hard drive stores the permanent information.

big as 500MB or sometimes more. For example, Microsoft recommends at least

512MB at the minimum..
One of the most simple ways to

your computer to cope with these programs is to add more memory. However
some computer technicians charge pathetic amounts of money to perform this
relatively easy procedure. Don't waste your hard earned money on a task that
